As the sport continues to grow, more and more people are beginning to take interest and that was the case when IShowSpeed turned up at Dan Hooker's gym.
Speed is an uber-popular streamer who live streams himself in all corners of the world to his loyal fanbase. The 19-year-old rose to global fame through his love of soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo but has since ventured into many different avenues.
His latest craze is sparring. Earlier this year, IShowSpeed was spotted sparring with fans in public, but his latest spar was a much higher level of competition.
Brave as he often is, the streamer welcomed a boxing-only sparring session against #6-ranked UFC lightweight Dan Hooker. 'Hangman' relished the opportunity to humble the amateur, and did so in relentless fashion.
Just seconds into their sparring session, the New Zealand native dropped Speed with several damaging body shots. After the influencer recovered, Hooker got straight back to work with shots to the body before a combination of hooks to his shelled-up opponent briefly brought an end to the fun.

Unlike other UFC fighters in the past, Dan Hooker went light on the YouTuber and eased him into the world of mixed martial arts.
Following their friendly sparring session, Hooker shared a post of the two on Instagram—showing his respects to Speed for being brave enough to step into the cage with him.

Currently riding a three-fight win streak, Dan Hooker is pushing closer toward a lightweight title shot.
As he resides just outside the top 5 in the division, the 34-year-old likely finds himself one big win away from fighting for UFC gold.
Before his lawsuit hindered his UFC return, Conor McGregor had an agreement in place for his next fight to be against Hooker.
