Fans are all saying the same thing after Conor McGregor shared a picture of Adam Sandler.

One of the greatest UFC fighters of all time bumped into the comedy movie legend on Sunday.

‘Notorious’ shared a picture of him and Sandler, who he wished well ahead of the upcoming release of Happy Gilmore 2.

"One of our movie industry's great creators Mr Adam R. Sandler," McGregor captioned his Instagram post. “Put his whole team on and changed the game! Inspiration! Can't wait for Happy Gilmore 2 out July 25th on @netflix! Rock On Adam San!"

Conor McGregor’s picture with Adam Sandler shocks fans

Two of the most famous people in sports and entertainment coming together has resulted in some strange fan reactions.

Conor McGregor‘s post about Sandler has earned close to 600,000 likes in less than 12 hours.

It’s also garnered countless comments from people shocked by Sandler’s choice of attire.

The 58-year-old funnyman is known for dressing down no matter the occasion – but McGregor managed to catch him wearing a suit before confused fans all pointed that out in the MMA icon’s comment section.

"Only time you catch Adam Sandler in a suit is with the Mac," one fan said. While another added: "Dude you got him in a suit!"

“This is the rarest pic of Adam Sandler to exist," a third commentator wrote.

"First time I've seen Adam dressed up," another shocked fan said.

“Adam Sandler with The Notorious out here looking like John Wick. Rare sighting," a fifth Instagram user added.

“Fake! Sandler doesn't own or wear suits," this skeptical fan joked.

What’s next for Conor McGregor?

McGregor hasn't fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

Since then, he's made a full recovery and booked a comeback bout with Michael Chandler. The two men were supposed to square off at UFC 303 last June, but McGregor broke his toe in training and withdrew from the event.

As of late, talk of McGregor returning to the Octagon has gone weirdly quiet. In fact, the 36-year-old has been openly discussing a potential switch to bare-knuckle boxing after becoming a part-owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

McGregor has also been talking about a move into politics, which has left Chandler worried the Irishman is more likely to become president than finally face him inside the UFC Octagon.

It’s not looking good, but only time will tell if we’ll get to see MMA’s biggest star fight again
