Conor McGregor reveals 'there is conversation's ongoing' with Floyd Mayweather about rematch with new rules

Conor McGregor claims he's currently in talks for a rematch with Floyd Mayweather.

In 2017, McGregor crossed over from MMA to boxing and made $100million to fight Mayweather, who entered the bout with a 49-0 professional boxing record.

'Notorious' started well before ultimately gassing out and getting stopped on his feet in the tenth round of his debut in a new sport.

A rematch has been talked about ever since, and it seems that it's closer than ever after McGregor revealed all ahead of BKFC Spain in Marbella.

Conor McGregor reveals rules for potential Floyd Mayweather rematch

McGregor wants the rematch to be on his terms after previously sucking down to 153lbs and agreeing to compete over 12 rounds with 'The Best Ever'.

Next time, he wants to fight Mayweather at a higher weight and reduce the rounds to make it more suitable for him.

"You know, there is conversations ongoing," McGregor told Marca.

"I fought Floyd at 153lbs, which is a low weight, so he brought me all the way down.

"It was over 12 rounds; I'd never fought 12 rounds. Now the discussion is at my weight, higher, heavy weight. 170lbs and maybe less rounds. So, I would fancy it.

"I had him bent over. You see me I had him bent over. What more do you want me to do? Do you want me to finish the job while I have him bent over?

"I don't need. I am so blessed by God. I don't need nothing. I don't need, I have, but I like a fight."

Dave Feldman wants to make Conor McGregor vs Mayweather II in BKFC

McGregor recently became a co-owner of Dave Feldman's Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship [BKFC], and ever since he's been talking up his debut in the sport of bare-knuckle boxing.

The Irishman's new business partner is hoping he can convince McGregor and Mayweather to take off the gloves for their eagerly anticipated rematch.

Feldman told BloodyElbow.com: "Someone said to me, 'What do you think about Manny Pacquiao fighting Floyd Mayweather again in boxing?'

"They were asking me for some help, and I said, 'I'd love to see Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor in bare-knuckle because I think it's a whole different fight, with the clinching that you can do and getting hit with the knuckles'.

"We just think it's a different world. So, it is a different sport-it's different types of pain. It's not necessarily that you're getting hit and you're getting flashes and concussed, but you get hit on the cheekbone and you're like, 'Oh, man, that hurt'.

"So, it really just depends on who is able to withstand that kind of stuff."
