Conor McGregor isn't a fan of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson.
The UFC superstar was shocked when it was announced that 'Iron Mike' is ending his 20-year retirement to take on Paul at AT&T Stadium in Texas on November 15.
Much has been made about the 31-year age gap between Mike Tyson and his comeback opponent, but many people are still backing him to score an upset win.
'Notorious' is hoping to see the boxing legend get his hand raised after being the subject of countless callouts from Jake Paul since he switched from content creation to boxing.
Conor McGregor offers his thoughts on the fight
Conor McGregor recently answered fan questions during a livestream.
Naturally, he was asked to give his thoughts on Paul vs Tyson, which is quickly becoming the most eagerly anticipated fight of 2024.
The 36-year-old claimed he doesn't give a 'b******s', as he expressed his surprise that Paul had managed to convince someone he should headline at the 80-000 capacity stadium that hosts the NFL franchise Dallas Cowboys.
"I don't give a b*****s”, he said.
“They're wearing 14oz gloves and it's two-minute rounds. Who gives a b******s? I hope Mike rattles the little dope, no one gives a f*** about him. How is that even in the f***ing Dallas stadium?”
McGregor finished off his thoughts on the controversial contest by giving Tyson a pep talk after he withdrew from a July date following a mid-air medical incident that led to Paul facing Mike Perry instead.
He added: “Tyson, best of luck, bro. You look in good shape. You had a little health scare, I don't know what happened to you on the plane, but you look great now mate, you look great now for real so off you go, you love to see it."
What's next for Conor McGregor?
McGregor hasn't fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, but he's been talking about fighting ever since.
The former dual-weight UFC champion was supposed to return to the Octagon against Michael Chandler in June before a training injury forced him out of the bout.
Chandler has opted to take a different fight against Charles Oliveira at UFC 309, so McGregor is currently searching for a new adversary ahead of a 2025 comeback fight.
In an interview with Bloody Elbow, McGregor claimed he'd going to face Dan Hooker on February 1 in Saudi Arabia – but Hooker has since ruled out that date, and Dana White has insisted no opponent is set for the most talked about comeback in company history.
Right now, McGregor's fighting future seems to be up in the air.
Fans continue to impatiently wait for an official announcement about his return.
