Canelo Alvarez and Jaime Munguia are set for their world title clash.

On Saturday, Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) defends his undisputed super middleweight championship against the undefeated Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs). Both fighters successfully made weight for the bout, with Alvarez coming in at 166.8 pounds and Munguia coming in at 167.4 pounds.

Alvarez enters the fourth defense of his undisputed super middleweight status, after unifying the belts with wins over Caleb Plant, Billy Joe Saunders, and Callum Smith. In his most recent outing this past September, he won a 12-round decision over Jermell Charlo.

Two months shy of his 34th birthday, Alvarez is excited to test himself against the 27-year-old Munguia.

"I feel really good," Alvarez said in an interview after the ceremonial weigh-ins. "I feel in my prime. I'm feeling my best because I have no injuries anymore, I'm feeling my best right now. I'm going to show you guys on Saturday night.

"I think I'm in my best shape ever."

Meanwhile, the challenger expressed the utmost confidence in his chance of upsetting Alvarez.

"I'm so excited," Munguia said. "It's a great opportunity. I'm going to take advantage of it to the fullest, and tomorrow, I'm going to be the new world champion."

Munguia defeated John Ryder via ninth-round TKO this past January to keep himself in line for a shot at Alvarez.
