Resplendent Grey
Classy horse who won on chase debut at Uttoxeter back in October and then followed it up with a great effort in second at Cheltenham’s November Meeting just behind the impressive and tipped Hyland.
Trainer Olly Murphy and jockey Sean Bowen are absolutely flying at the moment with plenty of winners and places.
And this grey gelding is set to showcase that more considering his clear better form ahead of plenty of these.
The step up to 3m for a few of these is a bit of question mark, so though they could be dangerous with untapped potential at this distance, in a race like this Grade 2 it’s best to side with experience.
Hoe Joly Smoke
Given the above tip’s form it would not be wise not to follow that form line and back Hoe Joly Smoke, who placed a few lengths off of Resplendent Grey on chase debut back in October.
The Skelton team are also flying this season and it’s this lightly raced gelding who could be very well-weighted to strike here, now with the benefit of that run.
Not only was it his first chase start but also his first outing of the season after a fairly lengthy break of 322 days and as such, looks a great price and dangerously weighted here.
