DONCASTER

Jack Sprat
Won nicely at Exeter just 11 days ago and goes off the same mark today despite now rated 6lb higher.
That has to go into consideration despite returning quickly to the track, as he won that comfortably last time out.
The seven-year-old is comfortably the favourite in quite a big field but still has a good price attached to follow in.
Vincenzo
This is a very competitive Novices’ Handicap Chase and as a Class 3 holds a few horses that could keep progressing on from this.
Helnwein has been beaten on both chase starts this season, but his debut form has worked out well when not far behind Telepathique who went on to win on Sunday go virtually level on the ratings as Helnwein.
He also takes on Vincenzo who was just over three lengths ahead at Windsor last month which was Helnwein’s last race.
Vincenzo was given 7lb that day but they run off the same weight today which is why the Alan King-trained horse is a big favourite.
Tedley looked like winning that race at Windsor coming to the second last but Vincenzo was quite impressive surging ahead and may have won with a bit in hand.
The seven-year-old went to Cheltenham on New Year’s Day but was soundly beaten by a promising prospect in Kalif Du Berlais, who was odds-on.
At the same time, he beat Tedley yet again at Cheltenham and the two should go clear of some of these who make their chase debut.
Though he was well beaten by the higher rated horse, Vincenzo still put in a promising second chase start and hasn’t been upped or nudged down in the weights either.
