First look 2025: get the lowdown on the new Callaway Elyte Max Fast driver
Yesterday at 10:00 AM
Callaway have plunged over $2 million into new research and development on their new Elyte driver range.
And as they announce themselves: "The Future of performance is Elyte".
So, far we’ve looked at the new Elyte driver itself.
And also the Elyte X, the model in this new range with the maximum forgiveness.
Now we're going to take you through the the third of the four different models – the Elyte Max Fast.
So what is Elyte Max Fast all about?
This is lightweight and forgiving. It's an easy-to-swing club.
So this is for slow swinging golfers?
For golfers with moderate swing speeds, yes.
The Elyte Max Fast utilizes an ultra-lightweight design, including a lightweight shaft and grip, to deliver a very easy-to-swing driver.
How does the extra forgiveness improve driving?
Simple. The ultra-forgiving element is designed to increase clubhead speed which maximized carry distance.
The enhanced shaping elsewhere in the range will help here too?
Exactly. There is Elyte speed from the all-new Elyte Max Fast shaping which provides enhanced aerodynamics for Elyte speed throughout the entire golf swing.
This improved shape is designed to maximize swing speed with improved forgiveness and launch conditions.
What about materials?
This is, says Callaway, "the future of composites."
The Elyte Max Fast driver features an all-new Thermoforged Carbon crown – this is aerospace grade carbon fiber that enables fast head speeds while optimizing launch and spin.
And plenty of high grade Ai involved too?
Precisely.
Callaway's most advanced Ai to date provides optimal distance, control, and launch.
The new Ai10x Face delivers 10x more control points than the Ai Smart Face .
It is designed to produce exceptionally fast ball speeds, tight dispersion, and optimized launch across the face
And finally, what about the details?
The shafts are:
Mitsubishi Chemical Vanquish PL
40 (R2)
WMS Mitsubishi Chemical Eldio
40g (L)
The grips are:
Winn DRI TAC 2.0
25g
