The WBC has named Devin Haney a ‘Champion in Recess’ at 140, as Alberto Puello becomes the full champion. The decision comes after Haney‘s undefeated 31-0 record was reinstated once Ryan Garcia received a one-year ban after testing positive for Ostarine. Haney had been ordered to box Sandor Martin; his WBC is mandatory at 140. But Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn failed to make a purse bid.
