Respected Commentator Reacts To George Foreman Death

A well respected trainer in the UK has painted a poignant picture of one of boxing legend’s George Foreman after his death.
Foreman’s loss has effected people on both sides of the pond.
Sky Sports commentator and former world cruiserweight champion Johnny Nelson said of Foreman’s death:
“Even in 10, 15, or 50 years. He’ll be in the history books. George Foreman and what he achieved. The fights he was involved in. The people he took out. Fighters today look at who beat who and how they did it. Foreman’s style was revolutionary. You’d think nobody fights like that but it was so successful. He probably got it all wrong but somehow got it all right.”
You know, well said by Nelson in that Foreman made his boxing style at different points of his career — really work for him.
He wasn’t the most technical of boxers but really put it all together well when he had to unleash the power.
In the second half of his career when he came back to become the world heavyweight champion he was more patient and waited for the right moments to turn it on and take out his opponents when he chose to.
Always on his terms never anyone else’s.
