David Benavidez Opens Up To Andre Ward About Sparring

David Benavidez returns this weekend in boxing against David Morrell in a highly anticipated fight.

Finally they are fighting, the two do not like one another to say the least.

Sparring has been crucial for Benavidez thus far.

Speaking on All The Smoke podcast Benavidez told Ward of how he treats sparring:

“That’s right. Every time I had a training camp, I would spar with three different partners, four rounds each. When you get that second fresh sparring partner, you really have to adapt to their style, and it helps a lot, especially when you get to the third guy. You can adjust more easily. I used to hate it, though, when they came in fresh.“

Morrell is a very life fighter in the contest this weekend, and will have sparred well himself too of course.

A very good boxer, Morrell, he will look to frustrate Benavidez and this is not an easy fight — for either boxer.
