World female heavyweight champion Claressa Shields has spoken on fighting YouTuber and now pro boxer Jake Paul.
Paul has been capturing headlines in the sport in recent times.
Speaking on a fight with Paul — Shields said:
“Yeah absolutely (I’d fight him in 10 ounce gloves and no headgear). I’m a big woman. The biggest, strongest men don’t want to fight. So what’s the difference here? I got you.”
Shields added:
“What about the skills I have? That doesn’t matter because I’m a woman? (Laughs). He’s got to break me down. He’s got to be able to hit him. I’ve got to break him down and I’ve got to hit him. There is certain things that I can do that he doesn’t even know yet.”
There you go.
Shields clearly thinks she can not only fight Paul but beat him.
Shields is widely regarded by most as not only the greatest female fighter that ever lived in any combat sport (not just boxing) but one of the greatest female athletes in history of all sports, worldwide, not just America.
Living legend Shields is remarkably still only 29-years-old. She is the only woman in boxing history to win a world middleweight and heavyweight title.
America, ESPN, Forbes and others in the United States are very lucky to have her.
