Alexis Rocha vs Raul Curiel headlines December 14th GBP show in California

Alexis Rocha has won two straight since falling to Giovani Santillan last October

Lance Pugmire reports that Golden Boy welterweights Alexis Rocha and Raul Curiel will meet atop a December 14th DAZN show in Ontario, California.

After falling to Rashidi Ellis in a 2020 clash of prospects, Rocha (25-2, 16 KO) battled his way back into contention with seven straight wins, including a notable stoppage of Blair Cobbs. He entered last October's showdown with Giovani Santillan as the favorite, but a vicious mauling saw Rocha the deck three times before the ref mercifully called a halt in the sixth.

While he's since picked up wins over Fredrick Lawson and Santiago Dominguez, the momentum won't be on his side against Curiel (15-0, 13 KO), who's scored 10 consecutive finishes in the last five years. It's a solid clash between a fighter who's struggled to break through and a top prospect seeking his first marquee win.

Should also be a firefight, which is always welcome.
