Triple H just delivered a reality check to every WWE Superstar dreaming of a long, painless career in the ring.

During his recent appearance on Sunday Brunch, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque didn't sugarcoat the risks of pro wrestling. While discussing the physical toll the industry takes, Triple H made it crystal clear—injuries aren't optional, they're inevitable.

"I say this to our talent all the time. Nobody walks away from what we do unscathed. You're going to get injured. You're going to get hurt. It's just a part of what we do, like any other sport," he explained.

And he'd know. In 2001, Levesque famously tore his quadriceps during a tag match but still gutted out the rest of the bout. Then in 2007, the same injury struck again at New Year's Revolution—this time forcing him to miss WrestleMania 23, his first absence from the event since joining WWE in 1995.

Now off the ropes and behind the scenes, Triple H—along with NXT boss Shawn Michaels—continues to train and guide the next generation. But no matter how well they prepare the roster, some injuries just can't be avoided. "It's just part of what we do," he repeated.

So while WWE fans continue to speculate about future returns and in-ring drama, Triple H is out here reminding everyone what's at stake every time a Superstar laces up their boots.

Do you think WWE should be doing more to protect its talent from injury—or is this just the cost of doing business in pro wrestling? Drop your thoughts below—we want to hear from you.
