Matt Riddle Signing With AEW Reportedly Unlikely To Occur

-- Former WWE star Matt Riddle has raised some eyebrows lately first stating that there is a very high chance that he returns to WWE and then teasing possibly even joining AEW. The latter scenario now appears unlikely, according to a report by fightfulselect.com.

-- The report states that while Riddle referenced a somewhat awkward meeting with Tony Khan, there doesn't appear to be any interest behind-the-scenes from the AEW President in bringing in Riddle to AEW - at least for the last few years. Interestingly, it was also noted that when AEW wrestlers are able to work on the indies, they almost never work with Riddle unless it's in Mexico.

-- In the meantime, Riddle has appeared for MLW and NJPW but doesn't have an exclusive contract and he's reportedly also had discussions with TNA and the promotion is hopeful that he will be appearing for them at some point.
