John Cena Says WWE's Unpredictable Twist Is Far From Over

John Cena dropped jaws at Elimination Chamber when he turned heel and aligned himself with The Rock, setting WWE on fire with a move nobody saw coming. Now, as he sets his sights on Cody Rhodes and the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41, Cena's finally shedding some light on why he did it—and what's next.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Cena stayed cryptic when pressed for answers. "I’m going to say that there’s more unpredictability on the way," Cena teased. "Here’s the stance I’m going to take on it, and I think hopefully I can put it in terms you can understand: We’re in the middle of a very riveting season of episodic television and you are kindly asking me to give you spoilers, and I can’t do that."
He made it clear that keeping fans guessing is part of the plan, adding, "What I did really enjoy about your question is you expressed the unpredictability of WWE programming, and I think that’s one strong point of the current state of WWE is its unpredictability in its programming."
And that unpredictability exploded on Monday's RAW when Cena and Cody Rhodes cut one of the most personal promos in recent memory. Nothing was off limits—Cena's history of "burying" talent, Vince McMahon, AEW, Tony Khan, and even Cody's past life "driving around years ago" were all dragged into the spotlight.
Cena has been walking a razor-thin line since siding with The Rock. Is he doing this for legacy? Ego? A twisted sense of justice? Or is there something even darker coming?
Whatever the answer is, Cena's not spoiling anything—but he is promising this rollercoaster isn't over.
