Gail Kim Signed Maggie Lee To TNA Prior To Being Fired

One of the most shocking stories over the past week was the unexpected firing of seven-time TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim. A recent report states that prior to her firing, Gail Kim signed one of the top free agents in professional wrestling, Maggie Lee.
It was announced earlier on the BattleGround Podcast that Maggie Lee has officially signed with TNA Wrestling. TNA later confirmed the signing. The company highlighted her status as a former four-year college volleyball player and Black & Brave Wrestling Academy student.
According to a recent report by Fightful Select, Lee has actually been under contract for a few months. Gail Kim and Ariel Sherner were credited as signing Lee. However, this was prior to both of them being fired from the company this week.
“One of the top free agent prospects in wrestling is now signed by TNA, but actually has been for quite some times.
“TNA confirmed that Maggie Lee had signed with the company, as revealed on the Battleground Podcast. Lee has been a standout independent wrestler the last couple of years and regularly popped up among names that people expected to be signed. As it turns, out, she’s been signed a while.
“Despite the news emerging on March 27, we’re told that Maggie Lee was actually signed months ago, sometime after December. Beyond that, she was a signing that Gail Kim and Ariel Sherner had made before they were fired.”
Gail Kim also broke her silence via an Instagram post following her firing.
