WCW‘s loss was WWE’s gain when it comes to Dave Bautista.

Former WWE Superstar Dave Bautista was a recent guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. When asked if it was easy for him to get into WWE, Bautista told a wild story about being kicked out of the WCW Power Plant and being told he would never be a professional wrestler.

“I wanted to just lift weights, and I thought I wanted to bodybuild, and 13 years later, I had no nothing to show for it,” Dave Bautista said. “I was just big and jacked and I was broke, and I thought, ‘What am I going to do? Hmm… professional wrestling?’ And I actually failed at that.

“My first tryout was miserable. They told me to leave, and I’d never be a pro wrestler. That was in Atlanta, Georgia. Yeah, it’s a place called the Power Plant, which was WCW at the time. They literally told me to leave. They said, ‘You’re not going to make it, you’re never going to make it.'”
