According to Adam Copeland (aka Cope), the shelf-life of his in-career has about two years remaining. Meanwhile, his former rival John Cena and Jeff Jarrett are inching closer to their respective retirements, which are both expected come around the end of 2025. With this in mind, Copeland addressed whether or not he’s envisioning the potential contents of his own final chapter.

“Not really,” Copeland told Scott Fishman of TV Insider.“That will be more of where do you need me? I'd then sit down with [AEW CEO] Tony Khan and think about what he wants and what the company needs and what the show ends. That always supersedes to me what you have in mind for this retirement.

“I know I want to work the Swerve Strickland's, Hangman Page's, Jay White's and the Kyle Fletcher's and the Will Ospreay's, Kenny Omega's and the Samoa Joe's. I haven't worked with any of those people and would really like to do that before I hang them up.”

While many of its surrounding details remain up in the air, Copeland previously noted his wish to host his retirement match at the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As an Ontario native, Copeland attended several wrestling events at the venue during his childhood. Now, he hopes to come full circle with a sendoff there as well.
