Adam Cole opened up about the true nature behind his relationship with the Young Bucks.

The three men go way back in the wrestling business. They were all a part of Bullet Club together in Ring of Honor, working together frequently before Adam Cole was snapped up by the WWE in 2017. However, after his exit from the company in 2021, Adam Cole made the jump to AEW. He immediately joined The Elite alongside the Young Bucks, continuing their friendship after four years apart from each other.

Adam Cole appeared on Close-Up w/Renee Paquette to talk about his life and his career. This included his relationships backstage with the Young Bucks and what Nick and Matt Jackson mean to him. The former NXT Champion revealed that he sees them as one of the best tag teams of all time. However, the most notable part is how nice they are. He called them “two of the best guys in the entire world”.

“I’ve known Matt and Nick practically my whole career—it’s been a really, really long time. They are two of the best guys in the entire world, and two of the most talented as well,” Cole said.

“Whether working with them at Pro Wrestling Guerrilla or Ring of Honor, it’s always been great. The cool thing was that even before I got to AEW, I had always kept in touch with Matt and Nick—we always had a relationship.”

“I remember thinking, ‘Oh my God, I'm so excited! I'm going to get to see Matt and Nick every week.’ I love them. They’re one of the greatest tag teams of all time—if not the greatest—and just incredible guys. So it’s really, really awesome to be around them again,” added Adam Cole.
