Golden State basketball is on the way! Come join our game thread and chat about tonight's matchup here.

The Golden State Warriors host the Atlanta Hawks for another Wednesday night home matchup. The game will be played at 7:00PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.

Previously with the Warriors:

Golden State saw their three-game winning streak come to an end on Monday night in a 102-99 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors struggled early but rallied behind their leader, Steph Curry, who posted a game-high 26 points on 10-of-21 shooting, including six threes. Despite Curry's late-game heroics, which also featured a couple of good looks to tie the game in a chaotic final sequence, the Warriors fell just short of the comeback victory.

The most damning stat of the night was Golden State's free-throw shooting—an abysmal 9-of-19 from the line. After the game, Curry labeled the team's free-throw struggles as a "glaring issue" that they must address moving forward.

What to watch for tonight:

The Warriors host the Hawks, who sit fifth in the Eastern Conference standings despite their 7-8 record. All-Star point guard Trae Young leads Atlanta averaging 22.6 points and 11.6 assists per game—the latter of which ranks second-highest in the NBA.

On the defensive end, Atlanta's Dyson Daniels has emerged as a rising star this season, leading the league with 3.4 steals per game. Daniels recently had a five-game streak where he recorded four steals or more, while also earning the game-clinching takeaway against the Sacramento Kings in their previous game.

As a team overall, the Hawks rank second in the NBA with 10.3 steals per game, which could spell trouble for a Warriors team prone to turnovers. Golden State committed 19 turnovers against the Clippers, including 13 in the first half. Head coach Steve Kerr acknowledged this issue, emphasizing that the team needs to take better care of the ball in order to maintain success as the season progresses.
