Nick Turchiaro-USA TODAY Sports

Time for a series win in Toronto.

The Yankees will need to win more than one game to undo the damage of their recent slide, but boy was yesterday's victory big. The Bomber bats at last woke up, pummeling the Blue Jays and snapping a miserable four-game slide. They can clinch a big series win this afternoon in Toronto with Nestor Cortes on the mound.

In the morning, check out Nick Power's rundown of the Angels as a potential trade partner, as well as Sam's entry in the 1999 Yankees diary, featuring a dominant performance from Roger Clemens. Later, I'll provide the roundup of the Yankees' rivals, and Josh will analyze how opposing pitchers have approached rookie Ben Rice during the early days of his career.

Today's Matchup:

New York Yankees at Toronto Blue Jays

Time: 3:07 p.m. ET

TV: YES Network, SportsNet

Radio: WFAN 660/101.9 FM

Questions/Prompts:

1. Was yesterday a sign that Gleyber Torres is about to find his stride?

2. The Mets and Astros are squaring off this weekend in a matchup of red-hot teams that just got back to .500: which is more likely to make the playoffs?
