The first weekend of the offseason concludes.

The offseason rolls through its first weekend without baseball today, as this would've been the guaranteed ending of the World Series had it gone the distance. Instead, we're already a few days into the post-mortem of this Yankees team, with more coming every day as the other side celebrates and moves begin to be made. The biggest news out of the Yankees' camp on Saturday was Gerrit Cole taking the expected choice to opt-out of his remaining contract, and now the team has until later today to decide if they want to undo that opt-out at the cost of another year getting tacked on.

Today on the site we start to look ahead, beginning with Kevin's optimistic take on some models for how the Yankees can turn this diappointing end into a triumphant 2025. Then Estevao talks about the benefits of sticking with what the Yankees already know should they void Cole's opt-out, Matt goes into one of the fatal flaws of this Yankees era being unable to take a punch, and John comes around with this week's social media spotlight.

Questions/Prompts:

1. Will the Yankees choose to void Gerrit Cole's opt-out today or let him test free agency?

2. How long into the offseason will it take for you to miss baseball after this year's ending compared to most years?
