Onto a chilly Thursday.

It's unbearably cold in New York, and the same could be said for the hot stove, with little happening this week outside of Justin Verlander signing with the Giants and the Rays extending pitcher Drew Rasmussen. Perhaps there's a small freeze coming over the offseason as teams await the other momentous decision of this winter, that of where Roki Sasaki will play this year. Hopefully things will kick up once he signs, or even before.

On the site today, check out John making the devil's advocate case for keeping Marcus Stroman. Also, Matt looks at Brien Taylor, the first overall pick by the Yankees in the 1991 MLB Draft, and Jeremy tracks the travels of new Yankee reliever Fernando Cruz.

Questions/Prompts:

1. Which of the Yankees' non-Max Fried additions from this offseason will have the greatest impact on the 2025 team?

2. Who wins the College Football Playoff games these next couple nights?
