One of the final restricted free agents left on the board has been signed.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed wing Isaac Okoro to a three-year, $38 million deal, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Saturday.

Okoro, 23, established himself as a solid three-and-D option last season, averaging 9.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.5 steals per game while shooting 49.0 per cent from the field and 39.1 per cent from three-point range.

The Atlanta native was drafted by the Cavaliers fifth overall in 2020 but hasn’t yet lived up to the high draft expectations. He has yet to average double-digit points in any of his four seasons in the NBA.

Cleveland has done well retaining their players this off-season by re-signing superstar Donovan Mitchell to a three-year, $150.3 million max extension, centre Jarrett Allen to a three-year, $90.7 million extension and forward Evan Mobley to a five-year, $224.2 million rookie scale extension.

The Cavaliers advanced to the second round of the playoffs last season for the first time since 2018 when franchise legend LeBron James was last with the team.
