The Toronto Raptors will be playing severely shorthanded once again on Sunday.

Centre Jakob Poeltl and guard Immanuel Quickley are set to rest against the San Antonio Spurs after suiting up for Thursday’s game against the Warriors, the team announced Saturday.

However, rookie guard Ja’Kobe Walter has been upgraded to questionable after missing the team’s last seven games with a hip flexor injury.

Poeltl has missed 17 outings this season and has not played two consecutive games since showdowns against the Orlando Magic on March 2 and 4.

The 29-year-old has been a key contributor in games he has suited up for, averaging 14.3 points. 9.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks while shooting 62.1 per cent from the field in 29.8 minutes per game this season.

Quickley, meanwhile, has had a year plagued with injury, having suited up for only 28 of a possible 70 games.

In that time, the 25-year-old is averaging 17.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists while shooting 42.6 per cent from the field and 37.2 per cent from three-point range.

Walter, who the Raptors selected 19th overall at this past year’s draft, has been out since March 7 with his hip issue. Over 44 games in his rookie season, the 20-year-old is averaging 7.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 20.0 minutes per game.

Also out for Sunday’s game against the Jazz are Gradey Dick (knee), Brandon Ingram (ankle), A.J. Lawson (G League) and Jared Rhoden (G League).

The Raptors are currently 24-46 and sit 11th in the Eastern Conference. They’re in the midst of a three-game losing skid.
