Dennis Smith Jr Set To Join Real Madrid

Veteran guard Dennis Smith Jr. is set to join Real Madrid for the remainder of this season. Smith is in Spain to undergo a medical evaluation before finalizing his contract with Real Madrid.

Smith had previously signed with the NBA G League. Smith was claimed by the Wisconsin Herd, but never played in a game for the Milwaukee Bucks G League affiliate. Reports were that Smith wanted to play for the Spurs affiliate in Austin, but the Herd claimed him first.

Smith played for the Brooklyn Nets last season. He averaged 6.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals in 18.9 minutes per game off Brooklyn's bench.
