UFC London's Seady Brady compares his destruction of Leon Edwards to others: ''I did a lot better than Belal did'

Soon-to-be top three-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight Sean Brady scored the biggest win of his career by strangling former champion Leon Edwards in the main event of UFC London yesterday (Sat., March 22, 2025) inside The O2 Arena in London, England (watch highlights).
Brady not only handed Edwards his second straight loss for the first time in his career, but he also became the first person to finish "Rocky."
The 32-year-old believes this victory outshinesBelal Muhammad's win over Edwards, who took the belt from the U.K.-based fighter.
"That's how you beat Leon. The blueprint was kind of written in a lot of his fights, and I just did a lot better than I think anyone else has been able to do it," Brady told reporters during the UFC London post-fight press conference (watch here). "I think I did a lot better than Belal did. I think Belal lost a couple of rounds. He had his back taken for an entire round. I think it was 3-2 when they fought. I dominated Leon every round. No one's ever done it like me."
"I submitted him and made him quit in front of his hometown. If we were in Philly, you ain't making me quit in front of my hometown, I'll tell you that," Brady concluded. "I'm going to sleep, son. So just remember that."
Brady's performance against Edwards was undeniably impressive, and he's right: no one has decimated the former Welterweight champion like that before.
However, the Philadelphia native finds himself in a tricky spot. After Muhammad faces Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315 later this year, Shavkat Rakhmonov is next in line for a title shot.
If Rakhmonov's injury delays his chance, Brady could leap into contention. But would the MMA fanbase want to see him rematch "Remember the Name" so soon? (That's assuming Muhammad gets past JDM.)
