UFC Fight Night 248 results: Yan Xiaonan outpoints Tabatha Ricci, calls for Zhang Weili rematch
Today at 08:47 AM
The UFC Fight Night 248 co-main event turned out to be a technical, decisive affair.
Recent UFC title challenger Yan Xiaonan defeated Tabatha Ricci by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at Galaxy Arena in Macau, China, on Saturday, as she once again solidified herself as one of the division’s top fighters.
Throughout the 15 minute affair, Xiaonan (19-4 MMA, 9-3 UFC) seemed a step ahead of Ricci (11-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC). The fight took place on the feet at distance. Xiaonan utilized head movement and footwork to puzzle Ricci, who never could really get much of anything going.
With the victory, Xiaonan bounces back after a failed (but gritty) title challenge vs. Zhang Weili at UFC 300. She moves to 3-1 in her most recent four. After the fight, she called for a rematch vs. Weili, who was in attendance for Saturday’s fights.

As for Ricci, her momentum is halted. A two-fight winning streak consisting of victories over Tecia Pennington and Angela Hill is snapped.
