It goes without saying, that most wouldn’t dare correct Mike Tyson, but Dana White was left with no choice when the boxing legend made a strange error.

While mild-mannered today, the UFC President can still remember the warrior for the ruthless animal he was in his prime, making pointing out the mistake a courageous move.

Dana White stunned as Mike Tyson sings a Bon Jovi classic

With thunderous power and a sublime boxing IQ, Mike Tyson was a truly special fighter during his destructive run in the 80s.

Possessing an ability to bob and weave in front of his rivals, before unleashing powerful hooks to close the show, the legend carved out one of the greatest legacies in sporting history.

However, it’s fair to say that his intelligence in the ring far outweighs his knowledge of pop culture

Sharing a close relationship with Dana White, ‘Iron Mike’ invited the businessman onto his podcast, Hotboxin, for an interesting conversation.

After discussing all things boxing and MMA, the UFC CEO moved on to music, saying: “The 80s is when rap really started to take off. F***ing Run-D.M.C., LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys, The Fat Boys, Salt-N-Pepa.”

Then, completely out of nowhere, Tyson belted out: “You give love a bad name.”

Utterly confused, by the outburst, White replied: “That’s Bon Jovi.”

While it’s fair to say that the popular band definitely didn’t specialize in rap, very few would argue with Tyson, making White a very brave man.

Mike Tyson shaped the way the UFC is ‘built’

Away from Tyson’s somewhat strange musical interlude, the interview was conducted in a professional manner, with the warrior getting a lot out of his guest.

In fact, White actually gave an incredible insight into how one of the former world champion’s fights, shaped the way he built his own promotion.

During Tyson’s heyday, the entrepreneur watched on TV, enjoying the action and observing the way the show was produced.

And in one particular fight, White took inspiration, and vowed that he’d use it to change the game.
