Former welterweight champion Leon Edwards headlines this weekend's UFC event at The O2 Arena in London against No. 5 ranked Sean Brady. Edwards lost the 170-pound championship to Belal Muhammad last July and looks to round with a win on Saturday.
The loss to Muhammad doesn't sit well with Edwards, but he's put that past him. Now he wants to remind everyone
"It is what it is. No excuses. Like I said, on my worst day he won one round over me to get a decision. That's it. I'm no longer focused on that fight. I'll get it back for sure," Edwards said during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show.
Edwards was originally slated to face Jack Della Maddalena but Maddalena was pulled from the fight to face the champion when Muhammad's opponent, Shavkat Rakhmonov, was forced out of the upcoming UFC 315 title fight due to injury. Now facing Brady, Edwards is used to what Brady brings to the table.
"He's a style I'm used to. It's what I've been fighting now for many years. He's a short, boxing, wrestling kind of guy. It's something I'm used to and I feel like it gives me a chance to go out there and prove to the world that I am who I am and I'll go out there and prove it to the world. I am the best welterweight of all time and he's just another guy in my way."

Edwards is the top contender in the welterweight division and expects to get a title shot with a win over Brady on Saturday.
"I feel like, for me, it's a No. 1 contender fight. I go out there and I perform like I know I will perform, I feel like the title shot is next. That's the only fight that makes sense for me," Edwards said.
