Drizzy Drops His Two Favorite UFC Fighters

Drizzy must love these two guys a lot because they've lost him a lot of money with the sportsbooks but he's still an avid fan.
Canadian rapper Drake has become somewhat of a meme in combat sports circles for his wild betting habits on fights. While he's not "Gianni the Greek" terrible at gambling, he's bad enough that the "Drake Curse" is up there with the EA Sports curse as a real concern amongst superstitious fighters and fans.
There's no deep mystery to Drake's terrible betting, though. First off: he's sponsored by the sportsbook Stake, and there's real questions as to whether he's even gambling with his own money. So he doesn't really care if he's winning or losing, it's all about how many articles like this a bet generates. Secondly: he's a filthy casual, as you can tell from this clip from his 'Drizzmas' stream where he answers questions from fans.
Here's what he said when asked who his favorite UFC fighter was.
Drake says Nate Diaz is his favourite UFC fighter

"That's my favourite fighter because Nate is just crazy through and through…
Obviously I have other favourite fighters, I love Conor [McGregor] with all my heart."pic.twitter.com/HcKsUS8BnU
"I'm going to answer this question strictly based on just somebody who, to me, is the most thorough," Drake said. "Like, you just can't get more thorough than this guy. I respect people that [are like] you are where you're from and nothing else can change you. The money, the wins, nothing. So to me, it's Nate [Diaz]. That's my favorite fighter because Nate is just crazy through and through.
"Obviously, I have other favorite fighters," he added. "I love Conor [McGregor] with all my heart, that's my guy."
"I'm talking about if they are rappers, who would I listen to? I'd listen to Nate and Conor. Nate is just one of those people. Nate is gonna Nate and that's it. I respect the Diaz Brothers, shout out to them."

'Drizzmas' co-host Adin Ross named Alex Pereira as his favorite fighter, and shout out to Adin for keeping it current. I guess we shouldn't be too surprised, though. He was 13 when Conor McGregor was tearing through the UFC. Now "The Notorious" is a dinosaur chasing fights with the Pauls, which isn't particularly hip at this moment after the Tyson and Lunchly debacles.
Whichever Paul he fights, Drake could get some good odds betting on McGregor right now. Gambling on or against "The Problem Child" hasn't worked out all that well for Champagne Papi, though. He lost $400,000 betting on Jake Paul to beat Tommy Fury. He then lost $250,000 on Nate Diaz and $350,000 on Mike Tyson to beat Jake.
Total casual bets, man. But as a famous man beloved by the sportsbooks once said, "I was born to make mistakes, not to fake perfection."
