The Twins lineup's timely hitting led to them winning their ninth straight game.

It was a back and forth battle but in the end the Twins had the last blow as they put together their 9th consecutive win.

The White Sox got the game's first run in the 3rd inning, as Eloy Jimenez's single scored Tommy Pham from 2nd. In the 4th, the Sox loaded the bases with 2 outs and Pham hit a ball to Carlos Santana at 1st, but he couldn't handle it and a run scored on the error.

The Twins answered back with 2 runs in the 5th thanks to a run-scoring triple by Willi Castro and an RBI double by Kyle Farmer. Unfortunately, the game wouldn't stay tied for long, as Kody Funderburk gave up a 2-run homer to Danny Mendick in the bottom half of that inning.

In the 6th, with runners on the corners and 1 out, the Twins pulled off a double steal as Trevor Larnach struck out to make it a 4-3 game.

Kepler would be thrown out on the base paths as he fell down going around 3rd to end the threat.

In the top of the 8th, Jeffers walked and was pinch-ran for by Manuel Margot. He advanced to 2nd on a grounder by Kepler, and Carlos Correa hit an RBI single to tie the game. Correa advanced to 2nd on the throw, and then scored on Larnach's single to right field. That gave the Twins a 5-4 lead.

Cole Sands entered the game and immediately gave up a game-tying solo homer to Andrew Benintendi.

In the top of the 9th, a Byron Buxton walk followed by Margot's single allowed Kepler to hit a sac-fly RBI to give the Twins a 6-5 lead. Jhoan Duran entered the game in the bottom half and slammed the door, striking out Andrew Vaughn to end the game. Welcome back, Jhoan.

Studs:

Trevor Larnach: 2-4, RBI

Willi Castro: 1-3, 3B, R, RBI, outfield assist

Jhoan Duran: First save of the year

The whole team really, as we were 6-13 with RISP tonight.

Duds:

NO DUDS TWINS WIN! TWINS WIN!

Comment of the Game: My first comment of the game this year (because I kinda forgot the other times) goes to Kirillofffan19 for this:

"It would be so funny if Jeffers stole home. He could do it. I believe in him. "

He could do it, because you believed in him. Thanks for joining the game thread tonight, everyone! Let's make it 10 wins in a row tomorrow.
