The Orioles lineup got to Chris Paddack early and often as they cruised to victory.

Chris Paddack did not have it tonight in Baltimore. In the 2nd inning James McCann hit an RBI double, then Gunnar Henderson blasted a 2-run homer to make it a 3-0 game. With the Twins hitting as poorly as they have this year, that felt like it was probably enough to win. Still, the Orioles added 4 more runs in the 3rd, including a 2-run homer by Jordan Westburg.

Byron Buxton had a good game today, and it started with a triple to left that scored Alex Kirilloff from first.

The Orioles got that run back in the bottom half on a single by Colton Cowser to make it an 8-1 game.

In the top of the 6th, Ryan Jeffers doubled and then Alex Kirilloff drove him in with a single. Jeffers is one of our only consistently good hitters right now. That continued to be the case tonight as he went 2-4.

In the bottom of the 6th, the Orioles got another run, but Byron Buxton robbed Ryan O'Hearn of extra bases with a flying catch in deep center field.

Paddack had a bad day, with the only silver lining being that he ate up some innings. The stat line is pretty ugly: 5.1 IP, 12 H, 9 ER, BB, 2 K, 2 HR.

In the 8th, O'Hearn hit a ball that Byron Buxton couldn't quite catch this time for a 2-run homer to make it 11-2 (it was very close though). The Twins would push a run across in the 9th after Jair Camargo walked in his MLB debut, but it wouldn't be enough as they lose 11-3.

They'll try to avoid a sweep tomorrow, as Pablo Lopez hopes to tame this potent Orioles lineup.
