East Coast vs West Coast

There have been many iterations of Yankees vs Dodgers in the World Series.

When the Dodgers were Brooklyn's Bums, the matchup occurred in (deep breath): 1941, 1947, 1949, 1952, 1953, 1955, & 1956. The Yanks took them all except for '55.

In 1963, the now-LA Dodgers would sweep the Bombers behind Sandy Koufax's prime.

In 1977 & 1978, the Yankees would bounce back and win both Fall Classics over Los Angeles, with Reggie Jackson cementing his Mr. October status.

The next round of this East Coast vs West Coast "rivalry" will play out in 2024. With Juan Soto, Aaron Judge, & Giancarlo Stanton mashing for the Yankees and Shohei Ohtani starring for the Dodgers, it sets up to be an all-time classic. Will it live up to the billing? Let's talk about it here!
