Dodgers vs. D-backs delayed by bees. Yes, bees

A colony of bees gathered around the netting behind home plate at Chase Field, delaying the start to Dodgers vs. D-backs
First Walker Buehler faced the Bees in his Triple-A rehab start on Tuesday night. A few hours later, the Dodgers and Diamondbacks contended with the bees as well. So far, the bees are winning, as the start to the second game at Chase Field in Phoenix.
The delay is officially due to a bee colony that formed on the protective netting behind home plate. This is the fifth delay of the season for the Dodgers, but the other four were more traditional rain delays.

"Right now we're just trying to figure out the situation," Dave Roberts said in an interview with Kirsten Watson on the SportsNet LA broadcast. "Obviously we see the bees — how long will it take for a beekeeper to take care of the situation, and/or just proceed, and kind of weighing out the potential harm it might cause.
"We're just trying to figure it out. Obviously safety is the most important thing. But as far as the game itself we've got both starters ready to go, and then if you delay an hour, you burn both starters."
The Diamondbacks stadium crew at Chase Field brought out a lift behind home plate, but now we wait.
The SkyJack now sits empty behind home plate as we wait for a beekeeper to arrive. Seriously.
