Major League Baseball sent a memo to the MLB Players Association addressing the uniform disaster that has plagued the league in 2024.

In an appearance on the Foul Territory show, Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow was asked if he was excited Nike was going to address the jersey problems. Glasnow didn't hold back his disdain for the current uniforms.

"I had no idea that was even a thing. Sweet. Yeah, they’re pretty bad. I personally don’t care a ton just because I play once a week. Maybe it’s different for a position player because of, like, sliding, and there's a lot of other different elements involved. I will say, they're not as good as they used to be. At least they're fixing it. That's good."

Glasnow is a simple player and made that clear during his interview. He doesn’t have fancy cleats or stay in the know when it comes to league-wide changes.

When it came to the uniforms specifically, he was more curious about why so many teams have gray City Connect uniforms at home. He’s a fan of them and thought the Washington Nationals’ look — featuring pink cherry blossom flowers on the hat and jersey front — was cool.

Regardless, Glasnow is 5-1 with a 2.72 earned run average. He has officially become the ace of the Dodgers’ staff. His last start, Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays, was dominant. Glasnow established his 96-mph fastball early, which accounted for six of his nine total strikeouts and almost 70 percent of his 95 pitches. He gradually worked in his secondary pitches and struck out three batters on curveballs.

"Fastball was probably the best it's been all year," Glasnow said. "I was able to get a lot more swing and miss on it. It felt good. And the curveball was more there. Not spiking it a bunch."
