Battle of Cy Young Award winners on the mound in a game televised exclusively on ESPN.

The Dodgers get back to business in the regular season, taking their 2-0 record into what is opening day for 26 other MLB teams on Thursday. Los Angeles hosts the Tigers in the home opener, with Blake Snell on the mound fresh off signing a five-year contract with the Dodgers that will pay him $182 million.

Snell won the American League Cy Young Award in 2018 and won the National League Cy Young Award in 2023. Opposing him on the mound will be Detroit's Tarik Skubal, who captured the AL Cy Young Award last season.

"To have those two southpaws goiong against each other is going to be special," manager Dave Roberts said Sunday.

Thursday's game is exclusively televised by ESPN, with the usual 'Sunday Night Baseball' crew of Karl Ravech, Eduardo Pérez, and David Cone in the booth plus reporter Buster Olney.
