The Los Angeles Dodgers have made a small roster move ahead of Monday’s game to bolster their bullpen. The team announced that they were recalling right-handed pitcher Ricky Vanasco from Triple-A. To make room on the roster, right-handed pitcher J.P. Feyereisen was optioned.

Vanasco, 25, is a former Rangers prospect who has been dominant in Triple-A this year, sporting a 2.25 ERA in four appearances and going 3-for-3 in save opportunities. He’ll now get an opportunity to help a Dodgers bullpen that needs assistance.

The L.A. bullpen has been a mess this year, as they’ve had a revolving door of relievers try to make an impact. Entering Monday’s play, the Dodgers have a 4.69 bullpen ERA, which is 21st in all of Major League Baseball.

Vanasco is getting the call-up on Monday, but he likely won’t be the only pitcher called up this week.

Kyle Hurt, a right-hander who’s made two appearances for the Dodgers this regular season, is with the team and could be called up as early as Tuesday. Additionally, the team is expected to call up top pitching prospect Landon Knack this week.
