The Dodgers are undefeated when Miguel Rojas gets a hit, they are also undefeated when he scores a run, and have yet to lose when he drives in a run, too

You've probably heard by now that the Dodgers are undefeated when Miguel Rojas gets a hit this season. He got the winning rally started on Monday in Chicago with a seventh-inning double, the second hit of the game for Rojas.

The Dodgers are now 23-0 when Rojas gets a hit. Some version of this fact had been mentioned intermittently throughout the season, but it really gained traction last week after the team's furious ninth-inning comeback last Tuesday at Coors FIeld.

On Wednesday's SportsNet LA broadcast, Kirsten Watson shared a fun story that after Rojas singled in the ninth inning for his first hit of the game, the Dodgers were down five runs at the time. Rojas, who was very aware of the streak, told first base coach Clayton McCullough something to the effect of, "We have to win this game."

They did, which moved LA to 21-0 when Rojas gets a hit.

Over the weekend at Dodger Stadium, Rojas joked that Watson telling the story blew up his spot — baseball players can be superstitious at times — though he's since embraced it publicly. After Monday's game, Rojas told David Vassegh of AM 570, "If this is going to be our life, we're going to continue to do it. Every time I get a hit it's a guaranteed W. Hopefully we can ride this out and make it 40 and nothing."

Aside from 23-0 when Rojas gets a hit, the Dodgers are also 16-0 when he scores a run and 12-0 when he drives in a run. They are also 3-0 when he steals a base.

With that in mind, here are some other Dodgers good luck charms so far in 2024:

Kiké Hernández drove in the Dodgers' first run on Monday in Chicago, in the seventh inning. The team is 11-0 in games in which he has at least one RBI.

When Will Smith scores at least twice, the Dodgers are 8-0.

Miguel Vargas has driven in a run in five different games, and the Dodgers have won them all.

The Dodgers are 3-0 when they have a sacrifice bunt (two by Austin Barnes, one by Chris Taylor).

When Taylor steals a base, the Dodgers are 2-0.

The Dodgers are 2-0 when Shohei Ohtani gets hit by a pitch.

When Freddie Freeman triples, the Dodgers are 2-0.

The one time this season Mookie Betts was caught stealing (May 8), the Dodgers won.

Taylor Trammell only started one of his five games played with the Dodgers, and the team won that day (April 8 in Minnesota).
