Former Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark got off to a hot start in her WNBA preseason debut on Friday night.

The No. 1 overall pick scored 11 of the Indiana Fever's first 19 points en route to finishing the contest with 21 points, three rebounds two assists and two steals. Clark looked just like she did at the collegiate level, even though she sat for most of the third quarter while in foul trouble.

"My biggest goal coming into tonight was to continue to be myself, play aggressive," Clark said. "I thought that's what I did. I think there's a lot to be proud of."

She did just that and more - including embarrassing a former Ohio State star. Jacy Sheldon tried to defend Clark during the contest, but ended up on the wrong side of the play.

Clark took the ball off of a screen and drove to her left while Sheldon attempted to defend. After a little elbow from the No. 1 overall pick, Sheldon appeared to try to sell the call of an official by jumping backwards.

The officials decided there was no foul on the play so it ended up looking like the former Buckeyes standout got dropped by a crossover from Clark.

To make matter worse, Clark ended up draining the three for an iconic play.

In the end Sheldon and the Dallas Wings got the last laugh with a 79-76 victory.
