Why People Are Concerned About Travis Hunter's Love Life (1:31)

Will Howard and the Ohio State Buckeyes topped the Oregon Ducks, 41-21, at the Rose Bowl on Wednesday afternoon.

Ohio State was led by its senior transfer quarterback, who threw for more than 300 yards and three touchdowns in the blowout win. The Buckeyes raced out to a 31-0 lead in the first half and held on in the final two quarters, advancing to the College Football Playoff semifinals. But following the game, the former Kansas State signal-caller was disrespected in a pretty big way.

Rose Bowl security did not let Howard onto the stage to celebrate with his teammates. Video has emerged of a Rose Bowl security guard refusing to let Howard get on the stage, despite pleading from his teammates and those down below.

It's pretty wild.

"Will Howard can't get on the stage! Let Will on the podium," Adam King shared.

College football fans are pretty shocked. It's not like it was some crazy small stage, either. There were probably more than a dozen people on that stage, including the security guard.

"If someone told me this happened and I hadn't seen it, I would have thought they were lying. It's that ridiculous," one fan wrote.

"Better defense on that stage than all of Oregon's football team," one fan added.

"I find it kind that Howard is respecting the old dude… BUT… bump that tooth pick out the way lol," one fan added.

"Don't worry Will they'll let you on the stage when you're the MVP of the National champ game in a couple weeks!!!" one fan added.

"Kinda crazy…but, is there an occupancy limit for the platform? That's the only reasoning I can fathom. The suit can get off if that's the case," one fan added.

Will Howard wasn't allowed on stage.

Hopefully, Howard uses this as motivation heading into Ohio State's next game.

The Buckeyes are scheduled to take on the Longhorns at the College Football Playoff semifinals on Friday, January 10.

Kickoff for Ohio State and Texas is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. E.T. on ESPN. The winner will advance to the national title game.
