If you're looking to avoid paying top dollar for bad seats at Super Bowl LIX, it's entirely possible that a particular NFL game in Week 15 could be a Super Bowl preview - and the ticket price reflects that.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Week 15 clash between the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions at Ford Field is the most expensive game of the 2024 season. On TickPick, the cheapest seats he could find were $475 - more than the entire cost of attending all Lions homes games in 2021 combined.

"Bills at Lions is the most expensive NFL game this season. The cheapest ticket for the game is $475 on @tickpick . Back in Dan Campbell's first season in 2021, a Lions fan could have attended every home game for a total of $326. A sign of how huge this game is. #tickpickpartner," Yates wrote on X.

It's easy to see why the game is so expensive if you look at their records. Detroit are 12-1 with the best record in the NFC while the Bills are 10-3 with the second-best record in the AFC. The game has massive playoff implications for both teams as losing could very well be the difference between getting the coveted first-round bye or having to play an extra playoff game.

The Bills have little room for error as they're currently two games behind the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC's best record, though boast a head-to-head tiebreaker.

The Lions, meanwhile, are in an absolute dogfight just for their own division, let alone the NFC. The rival Minnesota Vikings are just behind them at 11-2, while the Philadelphia Eagles are also ready to snipe their No. 1 seed from their 11-2 record.

And that's not to even mention that this game could very easily be a Super Bowl preview regardless of whether the Bills and Lions clinch their top conference seeds.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen is playing like an NFL MVP candidate this season, while the Lions simply look like the most well-rounded team in all of football.

No matter who wins the game, the fans will be the winners.
