As the California wildfires continue to wreak destruction in the Los Angeles metro area, residents have had to evacuate far and wide to escape the flames.

Thankfully, countless people from Los Angeles, the state of California and the rest of the country have been pitching in to help.

Among those helpers is Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant. And while she is contributing financially to the relief efforts, she decided to add a more personal touch to those affected in a very classy gesture.

Video shared on social media shows Mrs. Bryant working with the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation to give out free shoes and other essentials to kids that have been affected by the California wildfires.

Fans on social media absolutely loved seeing Vanessa get right in the thick of the relief efforts, with many reaffirming that she is "The Queen of Los Angeles."

"A queen of her people," one user replied.

"Nothing but praise here," wrote another.

"The Queen of L.A." a third declared.

Next weekend will mark the five-year anniversary of the passing of Kobe Bryant, but the city of Los Angeles is being too badly ravaged by wildfires will make it extremely difficult for people to celebrate Kobe's life in Los Angeles as emergency workers continue to fight against the inferno.

Kobe led the Lakers to five NBA championships during his 20-year career, but tragically lost his life in a 2020 helicopter crash that also claimed the life of his daughter, Gianna, as well as seven other people.

Vanessa Bryant subsequently sued Los Angeles County after graphic photos of the crash that included the bodies of her husband and daughter were shared by people who investigated the crash without the family's consent.

In the years since Kobe's passing, Bryant has continued Kobe's work with various charity organizations and ongoing tributes to his incredible basketball career.
