Ronda Rousey has been a star in MMA and professional wrestling, rising to a championship level in both areas. She is the most well-known women's mixed martial artist of all time, and has a claim as one of the best to compete in the sport.
During her prime, Rousey was a dominant UFC champion, often ending fights early in the first round. After a string of losses, Rousey transitioned to WWE, where she became a star in her first year with the company.
Rousey made WWE history in 2019, when she became one of the first women to main event "WrestleMania" along with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
Rousey became a mother in 2021, giving birth to her daughter La'akea. Four years later, Rousey and her husband Travis Browne have exciting personal news to share once again.
Rousey announced on Thursday that she had given birth to a second daughter. On Instagram, the 37-year-old shared some of her first moments with her new baby and the rest of her family.
"Our little girl came into this world during a windstorm into a city on fire, so grateful she made it safe and sound," Rousey said, announcing the birth.
Rousey and Browne, also a former mixed martial artist, have been married since 2017. During her first pregnancy in 2021, Rousey was open about some of the struggles she faced as she approached motherhood.
"I wish I could say that pregnancy feels amazing, that I've never felt more powerful as a woman. But it feels more like my organs are being crushed by the miracle of life," she said four years ago.
"I've never felt more exhausted, unmotivated or aware of gravity. Some days I have to lay on my side for hours just to comfortably breathe. There's no break, it's a grind, I'm just trying to get through one day at a time."
Rousey said that her husband helped her get through the difficult times during her first pregnancy.
"Thank God for Mr. Browne. Not a day goes by without him telling me I'm beautiful, sexy, loved, and appreciated," she said.
"He holds my belly to give me breaks from carrying, gives me bites of everything he's eating, then drags me hissing into the sunlight when I wanna go full Gollum. He makes me proud to put on a swimsuit and show the world what I sometimes want to hide from myself."
Rousey was released from WWE in 2023, but continues to make professional wrestling appearances for other promotions.
