Two Key Cowboys Players Missed Practice On Wednesday

Two Dallas Cowboys offensive linemen missed Wednesday's practice.
Right guard Zack Martin and left guard Tyler Smith didn't practice on Wednesday. Martin is dealing with an ankle/shoulder injury while Smith is out with an ankle/knee injury.
Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was limited with a back/foot injury while fellow wideout Brandin Cooks was limited with a knee injury.
The Cowboys are a pretty banged-up team right now and they're also fresh off their fifth-straight loss. They fell to the Houston Texans in the "Battle of Texas" on Monday, 34-10.

The Cowboys are now 3-7 and are more in the conversation for the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft rather than a playoff spot. They'd have to run the table and win out to make the playoffs and that's highly unlikely.
They're also without starting quarterback Dak Prescott for the rest of the season after he suffered a hamstring injury on November 3 against the Atlanta Falcons. Cooper Rush is the starting quarterback for the rest of the season.
The Cowboys' schedule doesn't get any easier this week when they travel to Landover, Maryland, to play the Washington Commanders. The Commanders are 7-4 through their first 11 games and are on track to make the playoffs if they can take care of business down the stretch.
This will be the first of two meetings between the two bitter rivals. The rematch will take place in Dallas on January 5.
Kickoff for the first matchup this Sunday will be at 1 p.m. ET. Joe Davis and Greg Olsen will have the call for FOX.
