Travis Kelce's mom, Donna Kelce, keeps making appearances on national television. And she keeps getting asked about her son's girlfriend, Taylor Swift. And it's clear that she doesn't love the questions.
Back in November, Donna Kelce appeared on the "TODAY" show. She was asked if her son's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, would be joining their family for Thanksgiving. Donna Kelce said that Taylor Swift was too busy with her Eras Tour.
"I am going to be at a football game. Travis is playing the day after Thanksgiving. You know, football is always the holidays. Football's family," she said, before getting asked if Taylor would be joining them.
"I don't think so. She's kind of busy right now. She still has her tour to do."
However, weeks later, PEOPLE reported that Taylor Swift actually hosted the Kelce family for Thanksgiving in Nashville. That was probably something that had been planned for a while.
From the report:
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, and the pop superstar, 34, celebrated the holiday together and brought along both of their families, a source confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.
According to the source, Taylor and her family — including dad Scott and mom Andrea — hosted the Kelces in Nashville, before Travis jetted off to prepare for the Chiefs' winning game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday, Nov. 29.
So, was Travis Kelce's mom lying about Taylor's plans? The Swifties think so - and they're crediting her for it.
"shoutout to Donna Kelce for respecting Tay's privacy and saying that Taylor wouldnt be with them for Thanksgiving when she actually was. Iconic woman," one fan wrote.
"I was telling my coworker I love how Donna is just like "idk she's probably busy" every time lmao she's a star," one fan added.
"Donna Kelce out here winning the privacy game while delivering the ultimate Thanksgiving twist," one fan added.
"She answered a dumb question with a dumb answer lol," one fan added.
The Swift and Kelce families appeared to have a good time together.
"Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving together with their families," the source tells PEOPLE. "It's the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together."
The Chiefs ended up beating the Raiders, 19-17, on Black Friday.
