Meet The Oldest Son Of Tom Brady (1:16)

Is Tom Brady the worst announcer in the National Football League?

The legendary NFL quarterback made his broadcasting debut with Fox Sports on Sunday. Brady, who won seven Super Bowls as a quarterback for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was on the call for the Dallas Cowboys vs. Cleveland Browns game at Huntington Bank Field off Lake Erie. The Cowboys topped the Browns, 33-17, to open Week 1 with a victory. Brady, who was calling the game alongside Kevin Burkhardt, Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi, received mixed reviews for his debut broadcasting performance. One NFL fan went a bit further than that, though.

Brady has been named the "worst announcer" in the NFL after his debut performance.

"I don't want to overreact to week 1 but Tom Brady is the worst announcer in the NFL," an NFL fan posted, getting more than 12,000 likes and nearly one million views.

Another added: "Greg Olsen got screwed. I thought Olsen was amazing last year. Way more enthusiasm and insight than Brady."

Of course, it's just one game. Yes, Brady was a bit nonchalant and reserved in the booth. He didn't show as much knowledge of the game as a Tony Romo or a Greg Olsen. And there were some awkward moments, too.

But it was just one game. Brady wasn't that bad and he should get better as the season goes on.

NFL insider Dianna Russini is confident in that, too.

"Brady is really likable. He's thoughtful and takes a beat to explain what he is looking at. Sure, there are minor things but all that comes with reps...He's going to be incredible by the time we get to Halloween," she told FOS.
