Playing quarterback in the NFL for over two decades must have been incredibly challenging for Tom Brady, but it wasn't his hardest job.
Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and 15-time Pro Bowler, opened up about his personal life this Tuesday during a panel for the 2024 Fortune Global Forum. He admit that parenting hasn't always been easy for him.
"All of the parents of the room know that being a parent is probably the hardest job all of us have," Brady told Alyson Shontell. "And we screw up a lot. And I've screwed up a lot as a parent. I don't want to seem like some expert because I'm certainly not that."
The most decorated player in NFL history is a father of three children - Jack, Benjamin and Vivian. He had Jack with actress Bridget Moynahan. As for Benjamin and Vivian, he shares them with his ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen.
Brady later said that his children will always be able to rely on him. The NFL legend believes that's the least he can do for them.
"I have three kids that I try to be dependable and consistent for them. Honestly, whatever our kids choose as we know, for them to do anything in life, we got to support [them]. The blessing my parents gave me was when I was that longshot as a kid who was a backup quarterback on a freshman team, they never said, 'Man, don't do that. It's going to be too hard. Let's do something different. Let's think about another backup plan.' They kind of said, 'You know what? Go for it.'"
It certainly sounds like Brady will provide his kids with a shoulder to lean on from here until the end of time.
Sports fans will get to hear more from Brady this Sunday when Week 11 of the NFL season kicks off.
