Ticket Prices For Game 4 Of The World Series Have Plummeted

What was billed as a potentially classic World Series has been a flop through the first three games.
The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Yankees 4-2 in Game 3 of the Fall Classic Monday night to take a 3-0 lead in the series. New York will try to stave off elimination at home Tuesday and avoid losing the World Series for the first time since 2003, when the Yankees were also knocked out at Yankee Stadium.
If you're in the area of the Bronx and want to go to the game, good news. With the stakes plummeting, so are ticket prices.
According to Tick Pick, via USA TODAY's Bob Nightengale, the get-in price for tonight has fallen dramatically from just north of $1,500 at the beginning to the series to $660 now.
Despite the 3-0 margin, all three games so far have been relatively close. The Yankees led Game 1 3-2 in the 10th inning before Freddie Freeman hit a grand slam off Nestor Cortes, and 4-2 was the final score for Games 2 and 3, though the Yankees did not do much in the first eight innings of either contest before making things interesting in the ninth.
The major story line so far has been the continued postseason struggles of Yankees star Aaron Judge, who is 1-for-12 with seven strikeouts in the series and 6-for-43 with 20 strikeouts in this year's playoffs.
Los Angeles, meanwhile, has not gotten much out of superstar Shohei Ohtani, but Freeman, Mookie Betts, Teoscar Hernandez and Tommy Edman have picked up the slack, with the Dodgers' much-maligned starting pitching holding up their end of the bargain as well.
First pitch for Game 4 is scheduled for 8:08 p.m. ET tonight.
